We are a small, grassroots organization fighting a wealthy development company that has hired a public relations firm from Portland to prepare “a public relations blitz to persuade voters to annex” the Sather property (GT 9/5/12).
When this issue was on the ballot in 2002 (same annexation, similar student housing plan, different developer), the developer spent around $75,000 in its effort to pass the measure. The citizens group spent $4,500 – and the measure was soundly defeated. We are hoping for the same results!
Our strength is in our ability to spread the word. Talk to your friends, family, neighbors, and business associates. Put a yard sign on your property. Volunteer a bit of your time, donate a bit of your hard-earned dollars. No offer of help or money is too small!

- If you want to DONATE, send a check made out to Responsible Development Corvallis to: RDC, 3730 SW Deon Dr., Corvallis, OR 97333. You may drop off any donation as well, at the address listed or on Saturdays at our Farmers’ Market table.
- Send us an email if you’d like to VOLUNTEER, put up a YARD SIGN, need us to pick up your donation, or if you want more information.
